Since the 1960’s street art has evolved as a sub-culture, shedding the confines of galleries and museums, convention and the law to enable these contemporary artists to express themselves creatively. Trendsetting artists like Shepard Fairey and Banksy have inspired the young future generation of artists to break with tradition and develop their own unique styles. This full day tour of London’s capital city will give your students the opportunity to understand the diversity of street art and its connection to fine art and art history. Aimed at GCSE, A Level and Foundation Art Students it provides teachers with the opportunity to motivate and inspire their creativity.

Your students will be wowed by the expert street artist guides who will lead them through London’s East End on a walking tour that explores some of the art by the world’s finest that adorns these hallowed streets. Jimmy C, Invader, Stik and of course Banksy are all there for their sheer delight. When the walking is over there is a workshop where students try their hand at spray painting. All materials are provided and included in the package price.

Arrive in East London

Drop off staff and students at the agreed meeting point where they will be met by their walking tour guide who will be an expert street artists.

Break for lunch

It is recommend that students bring a packed lunch with them.

Street Art Workshop

Walk to A L Studios for Street Art Workshop. Here students will learn spray techniques and have the opportunity to create their very own street art.

15.00

Home Time

Return to your meeting point to get your coach for your return journey back to school.
